Another view of Maggie from Day 1. I think she was looking shy or a little bit coy in this photograph!
This time I underpainted using Neocolor II water soluble pastels, creating a vibrant wash under the oil pastel. I find that I get a brighter, more opaque color using the Neocolor versus regular watercolors.

Sweet! I love cows, and I think they are my favorite subject for painting. You really captured this girl's gentle nature. My daughter lives near Chapel Hill and loves in North Carolina- I hope to visit her there this year.
